Sala São Paulo

Home to the Symphony Orchestra of the State of São paulo (Osesp), Sala São Paulo is one of the most important concert halls of the country.

The building was designed in 1925 by Christiano Stockler das Neves   and was originally part of the Sorocaba Railway.

In the luxurious halls the visitor can find a café and a restaurant, both excellent in both service and products. There is also a book store with a wide offer of art books and CDs.

  • Ticket-office hours Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., or until the start of the concert; Saturdays (during concert days) from 10 a.m. to 4h30 p.m., or until the start of the concert; Sundays and holidays (during concert days) two hours prior to the concert.
  • Guided tours Monday through Friday at 1 and 4h30 p.m. (5 R$ per person); Saturdays at 1h30 p.m. (free); Sunday at 1 p.m. (free), in morning concert days. Students, retired people and elders (over 60) pay half price. Public schools (elementary through high-school) and charitable organizations: exempt by form submission. Foreigners with groups over 10 people must schedule visit (at least ten days in advance). Visitor should confirm dates and concert schedules in advance, as they are subject to change.
